3 Valentine's Day Outfit Ideas

Valentine's Day is just another excuse to dress up. Sure it's about love too, but its in the middle of February and when it's as cold as it has been I am excited to find any reason to dress cute. I put together these three simple outfits using pieces already in my closet. There is no reason to spend a lot on your outfit especially considering how much will be spent on dinner, movie tickets, etc. A little creativity can go a long way.

1. Red Tights - This one is so simple. Red tights automatically make any outfit that much more interesting. I love this BB Dakota dress that I got at a consignment shop for $15. It's form fitting and perfect for a fancy dinner date.

2. Mix and Match Pinks and Reds - There are a lot of ways to combine various shades of pinks and reds. I went with this hot pink top and a maroon skirt for an interesting and bright contrast. I like this outfit for a work party or meeting up with girlfriends for drinks.

3. Use Unconventional Red Patterns - Everyone automatically goes for the heart shape and polka dot patterns when it comes to Valentine's Day, but I think a buffalo plaid scarf paired with simple black and white really pops! This outfit is perfect for ice skating in the park or a cozy night in.
