The chambray shirt

It used to be a U.S. work wear and Navy staple. Retailers have been revitalizing it in the form of tops, dresses, and even skirts, for what seems like a long time now, and I don't see it peacing out anytime soon. It's more light weight than denim, but it is just as versatile. I finally bought my own chambray shirt at Target for $20 this past spring. I thought its gray-blue color would pair perfectly with this bright print skirt that I picked up at the consignment shop. I wanted some opposition to its casual style so I layered on three pearl necklaces. The hardest challenge is making something casual look work appropriate, but I think this shirt passed the test. It is officially well worth the $20.
